Before we brought our Dalmatian named Pongo to Joanna, we were struggling with different behavioural problems including but not limited to; pulling on the leash, barking and showing aggression to other dogs, running away off-leash, table surfing, and jumping on us. He was becoming more and more unpredictable, and it was causing me unneeded stress daily. I was sceptical if all of our dog's problems could be fixed, as he is pretty stubborn and also has hearing problems. During the training with Joanna for two weeks, she kept us informed and in the loop of his progress consistently. This gave me some relief as I was wondering how this could possibly fix all our problems. Upon his return, Joanna went over all he had learned and you could tell immediately he was a different dog. Yes obedient, but also calmer and more focused. After she left we were still nervous he would return to his old ways. However I’ve continued with Joanna’s teachings and the information she supplied us, and now almost 3 weeks home, he is the most well-behaved dog I’ve ever owned. I take him everywhere he’s allowed now(I couldn’t do that before ever) and I receive constant praise about how good he is. I also no longer have to worry about other dogs, as he ignores them completely. When I run with him 4-5 miles a day, I no longer worry about a squirrel he might see and drag me down. He stays constantly on my side. Even if I do have to correct him, it’s a minor fix now and he has focused again quickly. And honestly, over everything, he seems so much happier, like he can communicate better with me, and exercise his brain. He seems like he’s truly found his centre. That has been the biggest takeaway for me. I was not expecting him to be so zen now. His anxiety is way less and so is mine by a mile. I am so happy we hired Joanna to help our dog Pongo, I would do it again tomorrow!
